Bringing Christmas to Birmingham Childrens Hospital

This Christmas, staff at The Priory Rooms are volunteering to decorate the Renal Ward at Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital. They hope to spread some festive cheer for the children and families who will be spending time on the ward throughout the festive period.

bauble.pngThe Priory Rooms have a great relationship with local charity Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital after several years fundraising for them. This December, for the first time, Ann-Louise (Conference Support Executive), Beth (Business Development Manager), and Tom (Hospitality Assistant) are taking part in the Hospital Ward Decorating Project. Local businesses are invited to fundraise for decorations and create inspiring, festive displays around the hospital. This is a great chance for The Priory Rooms to meet patients and see the difference fundraising makes.

On Monday 7th December Ann-Louise, Beth and Tom will be decorating the Renal Ward. The staff and nurses on the ward work hard all year round treating children with kidney disease, acute and chronic renal failure, renal transplants, plasmapheresis, lipid apheresis and MARS therapy. The children are often coming back and forth to the hospital and waiting long periods of time, so it is vital they feel relaxed, comfortable and at home. Especially at Christmas!

The Priory Rooms are asking you to kindly DONATE TO DECORATE! Help us buy decorations to transform the Renal Ward this Christmas;
