• The refreshments we serve are all Fairtrade
• The Priory rooms is an Eco Energy customer, This now means our electricity is now from 100% renewable sources.
• The water we serve is bottled at the Priory Rooms in recycled glass bottles Our disposable cups are 100% compostable and biodegradable
• We encourage customers to choose Meat-free catering options on Mondays
• The paper we use is made of 75% recycled material using low CO2 production methods
• All of our waste packaging and paper is recycled including shredder bins for destroying personal data. We also have points around the building for other recyclable items, including batteries and ink cartridges.
• Located within Birmingham City Centre, we encourage delegates to travel by public transport where possible
• We have an electric car charging points in our car park
• Harvested rain water is used to flush the ground floor ladies toilets, reducing the amount of mains water we use
• The lights in our lower ground meeting rooms have been replaced with new energy efficient led lights, and our Main Meeting House is also fitted out with led lights
• We provide biodegradable doggy boxes so that our customers can take their food away with them and any surplus food will be given to the homeless which is donated to the charity Let’s Feed Brum
• We have a food waste bin which is turned in to green energy, So there is minimal waste if no waste at all
